Hello! My name is Jon Pulse and I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in West Philadelphia. I have a BFA in photography from SCAD and have exhibited at the Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC. My work is influenced by the textures and patterns of the natural world. I’m interested in creating a new ecosystem that might exist on another planet. My creations are a textural and visual feast, combining bold color, pattern and clusters of embellished treasures that are created from reclaimed materials. I use various mixed media processes including embroidery, beading, collage, and augmented reality projection mapping to transform what others perceive to be rubbish into tactile and creative embellishments.
